CDGS X7.4 - Issues you may encounter after applying Update 4

After applying Update 4, you may encounter some issues such as the application failing to launch, issues with your font dropdown list (either missing fonts or corrupted font names), or the inability to open previously created files. This may be due to an interruption of the font database generation process which is required for the newly enhanced font list. If this occurs, forcing a regeneration of the database will correct the problem. Please do the following:

1. Ensure that all applications in the CorelDRAW Graphics suite have been shut down

2. Navigate to the folder that contains the Font Database by launching Windows explorer and typing %appdata% in the navigation bar, then navigating to the Font Database folder: ..\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\FontDatabase

3. Rename the FontDatabase folder (for example, add _old to the end \FontDatabase_old) as follows
..:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\FontDatabase_old

4. Now launch CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT to regenerate a new font database – depending on the number of fonts installed on your system, this process may take some time to complete.

If you find some fonts are still missing from your font list, please wait a few minutes, then re-launch the application.
