VideoStudio Pro X5 unable to complete registration to view Corel Guide



Follow these steps if you are unable to complete the registration of VideoStudio Pro X5 in order to access the Corel Guide.

To resolve this, you will need to reset Internet Explorer to factory defaults. If Internet Explorer is not your default browser, you will need to set it up so that it is this one time.

Windows XP Users:


(make sure that all Internet windows are closed before applying these changes)

  1. Click START
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Double click on Internet Options
  4. Click on the Programs Tab
  5. Click on the button labeled "Make default" in the Default web browser section at the bottom.
  6. Click on the Advanced tab
  7. Click on the Button below labeled "Reset..."
  8. Click OK when done
  9. Launch VideoStudio Pro X5 (close and reopen if the program was already open)

Windows Vista and 7 Users:


(make sure that all Internet windows are closed before applying these changes)

  1. Click START
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Make sure the View by option is set to Large or Small Icons
  4. Double click on Internet Options
  5. Click on the button labeled "Make default" in the Default web browser section at the top
  6. Click on the Advanced tab
  7. Click on the Button below labeled "Reset..."
  8. Click OK when done
  9. Launch VideoStudio Pro X5 (close and reopen if the program was already open)
