CDS 2010 - How to remove manually Corel Digital Studio 2010

Before you remove and install a program, patch or update, you have to log in as an administrator. To get full administrator access on Vista/Windows 7, turn off the User Account Control and right-click on a program, patch or update and go to "Run as Administrator". Otherwise, you will have problems working properly on your system.

Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off If you installed the program as an administrator, but attempt to remove it from a user account, you will be unable to see some parts of the program.

1. Download the Clean up Utility in order to remove Digital Studio from here:

ftp://coreluser-d:corel'02@emeaftp.corel.co.uk/4505/CDS2010 Clean-Up ver1.9.exe 2. Go to Start – Control Panel – Add or Remove Programs (XP)/Programs and Features (Vista/Windows 7)

  • remove Digital Studio
  • remove CorelWinDVD2010

3. Go to: For Windows 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Corel\
For Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\

  • delete the folder Corel Digital Studio 2010
  • delete the folderCorelWinDVD2010

4. Go to:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username username]\Application Data\Corel
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\[username username]\AppData\Roaming\Corel\

 

  • delete the folder Digital Studio

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username username]\Application Data\Ulead Systems\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\[username username]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\ delete these folders

  • Corel Digital Studio 2010
  • Corel DVD Factory 2010
  • Corel MetadataMgr
  • Corel PaintShop Photo 2010
  • Corel VideoStudio 2010

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Corel
Windows Vista/Windows 7:Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Corel\

 

  • delete the folder GoldenGate

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\InterVideo\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\InterVideo\

 

  • delete the folder TvGuide

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ulead Systems\
Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Ulead Systems\ and delete these folders

  • Corel Digital Studio 2010
  • Corel Digital Studio Gadget 2010
  • Corel DVD Factory 2010
  • Corel MetadataMgr
  • Corel MLEMonitor
  • Corel PaintShop Photo 2010
  • Corel VideoStudio 2010

5. Go to: For Windows 32-bit: C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information
For Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information

and delete:

 

  • {0B995C72-758B-4A21-BF9B-44E6FE268313}
  • {5C1F18D2-F6B7-4242-B803-B5A78648185D}

6. Go to: Start – Run (XP) or
Start – Programs – Accessories – Run (Vista/Windows 7)

  • type regedit in the open field.
  • hit Enter to launch the registry.


Remove the following entries: Please note that Windows 7 64bit puts the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE keys for 32bit Software into a special folder called, Wow6432Node".

1. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\Digital Studio
2. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\DVD10
3. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\GoldenGate
4. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\MediaLibrary
5. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel Digital Studio 2010
6. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel DVD Factory 2010
7. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel MetaDataMgr
8. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel PaintShop Photo 2010
9. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio 2010
10. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\DVD10
11. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\GoldenGate
12. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\Standby
13. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel Digital Studio 2010
14. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel DVD Factory 2010
15. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel MetadataMgr
16. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel PaintShop Photo 2010
17. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio 2010 Close the Registry.

7. Go to: Start – Run (XP) or
Start – Programs – Accessories – Run (Vista/Windows 7)

  • type %temp%.
  • hit Enter to open the Temp files folder of the user
  • delete the files

If you can't delete the files and get the message that the files are being used by the program, restart the computer and continue with the uninstall. The folder "Corel Digital Studio 2010" within the user profile (Vista and Windows 7) as well as Documents and Settings (XP) will not be removed during this uninstall routine.
