Avid Studio App iOS instability issues on iPad 1

The advanced editing features of Avid Studio are best experienced on the iPad 2. If you are having instability issues with the Avid Studio app, here are some things you can try to improve performance.

  • Make sure you update to the latest version (through the App Store on your iPad), since we've made major improvements to stability on the iPad 1
  • Make sure that you have installed the latest iOS version on your device
  • Completely turn off your iPad and turn it back on
  • Turn off apps running in the background to clear out memory. Follow these instructions:
  • Double-tap on the home button
  • Touch-and-hold on one of the application icons that appear at the bottom, until the minus sign appears
  • Tap the minus sign for each app in the bottom bar
  • Make sure you have at least 4GB of free space on your iPad if possible
  • Go into airplane mode on the iPad
  • Lock display orientation on the iPad
  • Use lower resolution video (SD recommended)
