This article applies to Studio 16 and Avid Studio.
In a Studio project, you can add CD music only after converting the music on the CD to MP3 files. There are several programs that allow you to do this. Windows includes one for free into Windows Media player. For more information on how to use Windows Media player to rip MP3 files, see the help file that comes with Windows Media player.
Once the CD music has been ripped to MP3 files, you can import these files into Library. Then you can drag the desired music from the Library Browser directly onto the project timeline.
