SmartSound Error - The SmartSound plug-in is not properly activated - Please contact the vendor

This document applies to Avid Studio and Pinnacle Studio

This error will occur if you have not fully activated SmartSound to work in Studio.

To resolve the problem, open SonicFire Pro 5 and select Help > Avid/Pinnacle Studio Plugin Activation.


Next, enter the Activation key that you received with your SmartSound plug-in purchase. The activation key is also called the Studio Plug-in Code. You can find this in the confirmation email that you received with the purchase.

Once you enter the code click Activate.

You may have to restart Studio and the SmartSound applications in order for the activation to take effect.
