This error can occur in Studio 16 when selecting Blu-ray disc as the disc type in the Exporter.
Warning: The fix below will cause all custom Studio settings to be lost as well as Library modifications such as tags, ratings, collections, clip modifications, etc.
To resolve the problem you can follow these steps:
- Close Studio
- Browse to this location:
If you have 220.127.116.11 (unpatched)
Browse to: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Avid\Studio\2.0\Settings
If you have 18.104.22.168 or greater (patched)
Browse to: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Pinnacle\Studio\16.0\Settings
Note: the AppData folder is hidden by default. In Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and Search Options. Click the View tab of the next window and select the option to “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”. Click Apply.
- In the Settings folder locate Settings.xml
- Right-click on Settings.xml and rename it to Settings_old.xml
- Launch Studio and check if the issue is resolved.
