Wilcom DecoStudio e1 5 and EmbroideryStudio e1 5 startup error after installinng CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5

When launching Wilcom DecoStudio e1.5 (or EmbroideryStudio e1.5) after installing CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5, the program warns of a missing plug-in (CorelWPL.cpg).

Important: In order to use Wilcom DecoStudio© e1.5 (or EmbroideryStudio© e1.5), CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 must be installed in the system. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 is not supported as an integrated component of DecoStudio© e1.5 (or EmbroideryStudio© e1.5) at this time.

Solution: After installing CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5, a couple of Windows Registry Keys must be modified to re-assign the CorelDRAW reference for the Wilcom application back to CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4.

The required modification can be applied by downloading the attached registry file. Once the file is downloaded, double click on the ReAssignCorelDRAWX42OLE.reg file and click on YES to accept the changes. The registry changes only affect CorelDRAW, the registry file contains all required keys for installations on both 32-Bit and 64-Bit Windows.

WARNING: Editing the Windows Registry is NOT recommended for those unfamiliar with registry editing. Be sure to backup the registry prior to making any changes. When editing the registry, please make sure affected programs are not running.
