The path to the language folder could not be resolved, setup cannot continue

 

 


This article describes how to resolve the error message when trying to install the Corel Paintshop Pro X4 KPT collection.





The error will occur if there is a problem with your current windows user profile.

Resolution:
Create a new windows user profile with administrator rights and then install the software from the new user profile. Once the software is installed, you can then switch back to your original windows user profile and the KPT collection will work.


Windows XP

1. Click on start, then select the control panel
2. Click on "User Accounts"

If you do not see user accounts, the control panel may be in "Category View" click on switch to classic view.

 



3. Under pick a task, click on "create a new account"

 


4. Type Test under the type a name for the new account box and then click on next.

 

5. Select computer administrator and then click on "Create Account" The new user account is then created.

 


6. Please log off your current profile and log into the new profile by clicking on start, then choose log off and then select the new account to log in to with.

7. Try installing the KPT collection. If the installation is complete, then you can log off the new profile and log back into your original profile. If the KPT collection is fine, then you can delete the new profile that you created using the same steps, but delete the user profile.



Windows Vista

1. Click on start, then select the control panel
2. Click on "User Accounts"
If you do not see user accounts, the control panel may be in "Category View" Click on switch to classic view.

 

 


3. Click on manage another account

 


4. Click on create a new account

 


5. Type Test in the new account name box and then select Administrator and then click on create account

 


6. The new user account has been created.

 


7. Please log off your current windows profile and then log in to the new profile by clicking on the start button and then click on "Log Off".

8. Try installing the KPT collection. If the installation is complete, then you can log off the new profile and log back into your original profile. If the KPT collection is fine, then you can delete the new profile that you created using the same steps, but delete the user profile.







Windows 7
1. Click on start, then select the control panel
2. Click on "User Accounts" If you do not see user accounts, the control panel may be in "Category View" select large icons under the view by drop down menu.






3. Click on "Manage another Account"


4. Click on Create a new account.

 


5. Type Test in the new account name box and then select Administrator and then click on create account.

 


6. Please log off your current windows profile and then log in to the new profile by clicking on the start button and then click on "Log Off".



7. Try installing the KPT collection. If the installation is complete, then you can log off the new profile and log back into your original profile. If the KPT collection is fine, then you can delete the new profile that you created using the same steps, but delete the user profile.
