If you are upgrading, or if you are installing Photo Album 6 for the first time, use the Upgrading or Installing Corel Photo Album 6 instructions
If your Dell computer came with a Starter version of Corel Photo Album 6, or if you’ve purchased a Trial version of Corel Photo Album 6, you can unlock it by using the procedure Unlocking Corel Photo Album 6.
Upgrading or Installing Corel Photo Album 6
If you have never had a version of Photo Album installed on your computer, skip to Step 2: Download Corel Photo Album 6. Upgrading to Corel Photo Album 6 requires you remove previous versions of the software, download Corel Photo Album 6 and then install it. Dell computers that came with Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 5, Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 4 or Dell Image Expert, will need to have these versions removed before installing the Dell version of Corel Photo Album 6.
Step 1: Removing Previous Versions
To remove the previous versions:
- Click Start, Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add or Remove Programs Icon.
- From the list, select Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 5, Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album 4 or Dell Image Expert. Then click the Remove button.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to remove the software.
- When finished, close all windows & proceed to Step 2:Download Corel Photo Album 6
Step 2: Download Corel Photo Album 6
To start downloading Corel Photo Album 6, click the Click for download link in the order-confirmation e-mail that you received from Corelfirstname.lastname@example.org.
If the Download Manager screen appears, you can download Corel Photo Album 6 in one of two ways: by using the Download Manager (see To use the Download Manager) or by initiating a direct download (see To initiate a direct download).
If the Corel home-page appears, a warning at the top of the screen informs you that your Web browser has blocked the download to your computer. However, you can still download the file by following the procedure provided in To approve a blocked download.
