Disappearing Text or Font From CorelDRAW® (CDR) Files

Issue

A recent Windows update that was released from Microsoft® had a side impact on multiple software applications, including various versions of CorelDraw® and Corel® Painter, and a variety of software from other companies. In CorelDtraw®, this update allows for certain fonts to disappear from .CDR files.

This specific Microsoft® update is MS12-078 / KB 2753842.

Resolution

The only workaround until a final solution has been released is to uninstall this update from your system, which is not ideal as this update was released to address a security concern. Be sure to hide the update once removed, or to configure for Windows to ask which updates to install because Windows will try to reinstall it again automatically otherwise.

For a more detailed information on the issue, visit CorelDraw.com or go to Microsoft's Support Link.

Corel is working with Microsoft to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
