In some rare cases it is possible that DVDs created with certain DVD Recorders may not import properly into Studio 15 or Avid Studio or Studio 16. In these cases the DVD will seem to import, but it will only play back a small fraction of the DVD content. This has been reported with discs created with Panasonic DMR-EZ28 and DMR-EZ17 recorders. It is likely that other DVD Recorders have the same issue. If this occurs, you may be able to resolve the issue by replacing a file. Follow these steps:
1.ForStudio 16: Browse to \Pinnacle\Studio 16\programs. Here are the default locations for 32 and 64 bit Windows versions:
32 Bit: C:\Program Files\Pinnacle\Studio 16\Programs
64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio 16\programs
For Avid Studio: Browse to \Avid\Studio\programs. Here are the default locations for 32 and 64 bit Windows versions:
32 Bit: C:\Program Files\Avid\Studio\Programs
64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Studio\Programs
For Studio 15: Browse to \Pinnacle\Studio 15\Import\programs. Here are the default locations:
32 Bit: C:\Program FilesPinnacle\Studio 15\Import\programs
64 Bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio 15\Import\programs
2. Locate DiscImporter.dll and rename it to something like DiscImporter.dll_old
3. Download DiscImporter.zip
4. Open DiscImporter.zip and extract DiscImporter.dll to the location described in Step 1.
5. Restart Studio and re-import the disc.
