OMP Error

Error Message:

OMP Error # 15 - Initializing libguide40.dll, but found libiomp5md.dll already initialized.

 


This may cause performance degradation and correctness issue. Set environment variable KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK=TRUE to ignore this problem and force the program to continue anyway.

 


**Please note that the use of KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK is unsupported and using it may cause undefined behavior.

 


Workaround:

 


Set the Windows Environmental Variable for KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK to TRUE.

 


Windows Vista and Windows 7

 


1. Select Start Control Panel.


2. Click System ▸ Security ▸ System ▸ Advanced Settings in the left pane.


3. Select Environmental Variables at the bottom of the dialog box.


4. In the User Variables section, click New.


5. Enter the variable name: KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK (name must be typed exactly as seen)


6. Enter the variable value TRUE and click OK.


7. In the System Variables section, click New.


8. Enter the variable name KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK.


9. Enter the variable value TRUE and click OK.


10.  Click OK to close Environmental Variables, and click OK again to close System Properties.

 


Windows XP

 


1. Choose Start ▸ Control Panel, and then double-click System.


2. Select the Advanced tab in the System Properties window.


3. Click Environmental Variables at the bottom of the dialog box.


4. In the User Variables section, click New.


5. Enter the variable name KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK (name must be typed exactly as seen).


6. Enter the variable value TRUE and click OK.


7. In the System Variables section, click New.


8. Enter the variable name KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK.


9. Enter the variable value TRUE and click OK.


10. Click OK to close Environmental Variables, and click OK again to close System Properties.
