Easy VHS to DVD - Video input is not recognized & buzzing audio

This applies to Easy VHS to DVD, Easy VHS to DVD 3 and Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus.

Symptom: When I use VHS to DVD, I am getting a buzzing sound and my video is not being recognized

Solution: In most cases, this is caused by your video and audio cables are reversed. Make sure the cables are connected with the matching colors. For example:

Yellow to Yellow
Red to Red
Black to Black (or White to Black)
Correct Cable Connection

Incorrect Cable Connection

The Roxio Vhs to dvd 3 program worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now I get no video signal and have hum on audio.  I tried to repair the install but that did not help. What else can I do?

I have the same problem.  When I hit PLAY on the VCR, the video plays, but as soon as I click on the RECORD button, the video goes away and I get nothing recorded.

My product has worked for over a year.  However, now the computer will not recognize the video input.  I have the correct connection.  Further I have both checked the video cable and replaced the video cable with another working cable.  I also have verified that the vhs player is working.  My conclusion is that the Roxio product has failed.  Is there any way to check it?  Can I send it in for your company to test it?  Please advise.

I had the same problem. Found out that I have a USB 3.0 hub. Roxio only works on 2.0.
