How to manually uninstall Corel MotionStudio 3D

NOTE: Before removing or installing a program, patch or update, please log in as administrator. The only way to get full administrator access on Vista/Windows 7 is to turn off the User Account Control and have the program installer "Run as Administrator".

Solution A: Control Panel (recommended)

  1. Go to Start ▸ Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs (XP)/Programs and Features (Vista/Windows 7)
  2. Select MotionStudio 3D from the list
  3. Highlight and select the Remove or Uninstall button
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Re-install MotionStudio 3D by re-downloading the installer from the Order Confirmation e-mail or by logging in to your corel.com account. If installing from a CD version, then insert the DVD.

Solution B: Manually uninstalling (intermediate to advanced users)

  • This step will requires entering into the Windows registry. This is recommended for more advanced users who are comfortable with editing the Windows registry.
  1. First, remove the Program folder:
    1. Windows Vista and 7
      1. START ▸Computer ▸Local Disk C ▸Program Files (x86) ▸Corel
      2. Delete the Folder named: Corel MotionStudio 3D 1.0
    2. Windows XP
      1. START ▸My Computer ▸Local Disk C ▸Program Files ▸Corel
      2. Delete the Folder named: Corel MotionStudio 3D 1.
  2. ​Next, delete the temporary files,
    1. ​Windows Vista/7
      1. Hold down the Windows key + R key until you get the Run box
      2. Type appdata and click the OK button
      3. Left double click on the Roaming folder
      4. Left double click on the Ulead Systems folder
      5. Search for and delete the Corel MotionStudio 3D 1.0 folder
    2. Windows XP
      1. You will need to show your hidden files and folders before proceeding. Click HERE to see instructions on how to make hidden folders visible.
      2. From the START menu, open the Control Panel
      3. Open Folder Options
      4. Select the View tab
      5. Under Hidden files and folders select show hidden files and folders
      6. Click OK
      7. Hold down the Windows key + R key until you get the Run box
    3. Type %appdata% and then click on OK
      1. Click on the Folder Up button
      2. Find and open the Local Settings folder
      3. Open the Application Data Folder
      4. Open the Ulead Systems folder
      5. Delete the MotionStudio 3D folder
      6. Locate the Documents folder in Windows and locate the Corel MotionStudio 3D folder.
      7. Delete this folder.
  3. Windows Registry
    1. START▸Accessories▸Run
    2. Type: regedit
    3. Click OK
    4. It is necessary and highly recommended to back up the Windows registry before continuing in case any mistakes are made in the registry, it can be replaced by the saved capy.
      1. Click File▸Export
      2. Save File to desktop
      3. Give the backed up file a name
      4. Click Save and then wait for the file to save

Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder

Locate and expand the Software folder

Locate the Corel folder and expand it

Locate the Corel Motion Studio 3D folder and delete it

Locate the Ulead Systems folder and expand it

Locate the Corel Motion Studio 3D folder and delete it

Close the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder




Windows Registry MotionStudio 3D key Removal Step #2

Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder

Expand the Software folder

(if using Windows 64bit systems)

Locate and expand the Wow6432Node folder

Locate and expand the Ulead Systems folder

Locate the Corel MotionStudio 3D folder and delete it

Close the Wow6432Node folder

(if using Windows 32bit systems)

Locate and expand the Corel folder

Locate the Corel MotionStudio 3D folder and delete it

Restart your computer.

Re-install Corel MotionStudio 3D 1.0.
