WordPerfect Office X8: Graphic placed relative to bottom margin behaves unexpectedly

A graphic placed in WordPefect, then attached to page and vertically positioned relative to the bottom margin may behave unexpectedly, positioning the graphic below the margin.

If this occurs, follow these steps to position the graphic as expected:

1. Right click on the graphic, select Position... from the context menu.

2. Set the distance from bottom margin to 0"

3. Click OK.

4. Right click on the graphic, select Position... from the context menu.

5. Set the distance from bottom margin to 1" to have the bottom of the graphic 1" above the bottom margin.

6. Click OK.

This "workaround" does not address the underlying bug in the system. Also, doing these steps does not work -- the object still falls below the bottom margin.  One has to "drag and drop" the object onto the desired position in order to get the desired result.
