VideoStudio: Understanding DVD and BluRay Disc Structures

Programs like Corel WinDVD and Corel VideoStudio often return errors, stating there is no valid disc in your optical drive, that can be read. In a lot of cases, Technical Support is asked or will see discs created from DVD Recorder machines. These devices, often add additional folders, depending on the make and model of device. If you need to verify, whether your disc can be read successfully, open the contents of the disc in Windows Explorer, and compare what you see to the images below:
